Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account and using HSK Ace, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Account

• Each person may only hold one account
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account
• Registration information must be accurate and truthful
• You may not share your account, your activation codes, your Pass, or your Shells with others

3. Service Description

HSK Ace provides the following services:

• HSK mock exams in authentic 机考 format with practice and timed mock modes
• Targeted exercises across 11 question types
• Speaking practice (HSKK) and a speaking level check with AI pronunciation scoring
• Daily reading challenges and study streaks
• Spaced-repetition (SRS) review of wrong answers
• Personal Flashcard decks with Leitner-based review
• Leaderboards (Exam Power Score and Speaking Power Score)
• Optional AI features: answer explanation, grammar Q&A, AI exercise generation
• Awards/badges, referral programme, and structured learning paths by HSK level

Note: Exam results, AI explanations, and pronunciation feedback on HSK Ace are for practice and reference only and do not replace official HSK certification exams or professional teacher evaluation.

4. Pass, Shells, Payment, and Refunds

4.1 Pass

• Premium content (paid practice and mock exams, AI explanations, AI pronunciation feedback, HSKK AI mock exams, handwriting practice at every level) is available with a Pass, within the free daily rounds, or through activation codes
• The Pass is sold as a one-time payment for 3 months, 1 year, or lifetime, at the price shown on the Pricing page. It is not a subscription and never renews automatically
• Buying another Pass while one is active adds the new days on top of the days you have left
• A lifetime Pass has no expiry date and stays valid for as long as HSK Ace operates the service
• AI pronunciation checks and HSKK AI mock exams are subject to a daily fair-use limit shown on the Pricing page, reset every day at midnight Vietnam time (GMT+7)
• A Pass is personal and non-transferable

4.2 Shells

• From the launch of the Pass, Shells packs are no longer sold
• Shells you bought with money are converted into a Pass based on the total amount you paid: under US$19.99 becomes a 3-month Pass, US$19.99 or more a 1-year Pass, and US$29.99 or more a lifetime Pass
• Shells remaining in your wallet, including bonus Shells, can still be used as extra rounds until October 31, 2026. After that date they expire and cannot be exchanged for cash

4.3 Payment and refunds

• Payments are processed by LemonSqueezy as Merchant of Record (handles applicable VAT/GST)
• You can request a full refund within 7 days of purchase if you have not used the purchase significantly. Email the contact address below with your order number
• We do not offer partial refunds. A refunded Pass is removed from your account
• Activation codes (unlock codes) are single-use; once redeemed they cannot be reused or transferred

5. Intellectual Property

All content on HSK Ace — including exam questions, passages, audio, images, and the interface — is owned by HSK Ace or its licensors. Vocabulary references are derived from publicly licensed sources (e.g. CC-CEDICT) where applicable. You may not copy, distribute, scrape, or use any content for commercial purposes without prior written consent.

6. AI Features

• AI features are optional and only triggered when you click them
• AI output (explanations, sample sentences, generated questions) may be inaccurate or incomplete — verify before relying on it for an exam
• Do not submit personal, confidential, or sensitive information into AI prompts
• Reasonable rate limits and usage caps apply per account

7. Flashcards and User Content

• Flashcard decks, cards, and uploaded images are private to your account and not shared with other users
• You retain ownership of content you upload, and grant HSK Ace a limited license solely to store and display it back to you
• Image upload quota: 50 images per account by default; partner-center students may receive a higher quota
• You may not upload content that infringes copyright, contains illegal or harmful material, or is unrelated to HSK study
• We may remove content that violates these terms or applicable law

8. Referrals and Awards

• Each account is issued a personal referral code that can be shared with new learners
• Referral rewards and badges are awarded according to the rules shown on the Referral and Awards pages
• Self-referrals, fake accounts, and any abuse of the referral system will result in revocation of bonuses and possible account suspension

9. Prohibited Conduct

You must not:

• Share your account, activation codes, Pass, or Shells with others
• Use automated software (bots, scripts, headless browsers) to access, scrape, or extract data from the platform
• Cheat during exams (external tools, sharing answers, multiple accounts)
• Reverse-engineer the platform or attempt to bypass security, rate limits, or paywalls
• Interfere with normal platform operations, attack our infrastructure, or harm other users
• Copy, redistribute, or republish exam content in any form, including via screenshots

10. Limitation of Liability

• Practice results and AI feedback are for reference only and do not guarantee equivalent performance in official HSK exams
• HSK Ace is not liable for damages arising from service interruptions due to technical issues or third-party outages (payments, AI, speech evaluation)
• We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature with reasonable notice

11. Termination

HSK Ace reserves the right to suspend or delete your account if we detect violations of these terms, including but not limited to: cheating, account sharing, scraping, referral abuse, or actions that harm the platform or other users. Deliberate violations may result in forfeiture of your remaining Pass days and Shells.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by applicable law. Disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation or, if necessary, through appropriate legal channels.
