HSK 2 Grammar Patterns That Actually Show Up
HSK 2 grammar gets talked about as if it were a long, intimidating list. It is not. A handful of patterns appear over and over, in both the listening and reading sections, and once you can read them cold, a large share of the test turns into easy points. Everything else is vocabulary.
This post skips the exhaustive grammar reference and focuses on the patterns that genuinely earn marks at this level. For each one, learn the rule, then read the example out loud a few times. The pattern only becomes automatic when it is attached to a real sentence, not a grammar table.
le 了 for completed action
le 了 is the single most tested grammar point at HSK 2, and the one learners most often get wrong. Its core job is to mark that something happened or that a situation changed.
